Self-deprecation is worth its weight in smoldering phoenix-ashes and baby unicorn tears.
or; at least, the assassination of the idea he can speak cogently.

All right, kiddies.  Time for a break from regaling you with tales from Spain, and back to the mire with more President Bush quotes!  (Don't worry, my faithful Spain-tales readers - yeah, all two of you - they'll be back later today with a very, very juicy episode.  Yay yay yay.)

-------------------

"The senator has got to understand if he's going to have - he can't have it both ways.  He can't take the high horse and then claim the low road."

--About Senator John McCain, Florence, South Carolina, February 17, 2000

"Home is important.  It's important to have a home."

--Crawford, Texas, February 18, 2001

"I understand small business growth.  I was one."

--New York Daily News, February 2000

"This notion that the United States is getting ready to attack Iran is simply ridiculous.  And, having said that, all options are on the table."

--Israeli television interview, February 22, 2005

And the best of this batch:

"If you don't stand for anything, you don't stand for anything!"

--Austin-American Statesman, 2000

---------------------

Thanks, President Bush.  I needed a laugh.

Only 330 more days, kiddos.

I sit for everything!

Nice ones SanCho.

Now how about that very, very juicey story?  I expect nothing less than panties as a trophy at this point.

That's too juicy at this point. So I may have been exaggerating with the "very very" part, but it's juicy.

And sweet. Because I'm sweet, you see.

Bush sure has a way with words, his way. Talk about a guy who wants things his way, he even wants us to accept his choice of words. I do wonder since usually people like Bush have people who write scripts for him to say when making speaches, are they the ones making these mistakes or is he taking their words and spicing them up with his brand of "?" words?

Well obviously.

Get to writin', SanCho...how else can we vicariously live through you?
