Self-deprecation is worth its weight in smoldering phoenix-ashes and baby unicorn tears.
or; thanks, Stardock, for an awesome game.

I've been using Stardock services for over two years now, as a blogger on JoeUser and having used the free version of Object Dock for most of that time.

For Christmas, however, my brother BlueDev bought me OD+, and I've been amazed by what it can do in comparison with the free version. It's like night and day.

So the other day I went and bought GalCiv and GalCiv II almost out of loyalty rather than out of real desire to play the game - if only to show Stardock some support for all the goodies they've given me over the years.

I had NO IDEA GalCiv II would be so addicting . . .

Curse you, Brad, curse you and your team for making such an awesome game! Sure, I suck at it (I've always sucked at TBS games - just look at me playing Disciples, it's a joke), but it's gorgeous to look at, amazingly fun to play, and I intend to become a better strategist if only by sheer will alone!

Thanks, Stardock, for an amazing gaming experience.

Yeah, Gal Civ is one of those games where it just sucks you in. Welcome to the club!

It is one of those rare things that always transcends what it aspires to be.

Just rocked my way through my first victory as the Terran Alliance. Granted, it was on 'Beginner', but it was my first time.

This game rules.
