Self-deprecation is worth its weight in smoldering phoenix-ashes and baby unicorn tears.
or; a survey of sorts.

FIRST OFF: I understand if you don't like my comment and want to delete it; but you should either 1)give me fair warning first, or 2)tell me why you've deleted what I felt was a pertinent comment. (Hey Aeryck, I'm talking to you, ass.)

ON TO THE MAIN EVENT:

Earlier this morning I was listening to a local radio show, Radio From Hell, and they did a poll of some of the listeners that I found absolutely enlightening.

The poll dealt with the music people had on their mp3 players, and what they might be ashamed to admit is on there.

So, JU, I open the question to you all - what music do you like that makes you a bit ashamed?

To put it into context, give us a few examples of your normal listening - a few groups. (For example - a normal playlist of mine would include Rush, Neurosis, 65daysofstatic, Mogwai, Strapping Young Lad, Mastodon - just to name a few.)

Then, spill the beans - tell us what you've got, but are too ashamed to admit! (I've got Kelly Clarkson's new album. Reprehensible, I know . . . but still. This is confession time, after all.)

So get to it! Come to the confessional booth and the Sausage Man, Saint Panties will absolve your sins! Spill it!

Mind if I resurrect this article to chime in?

You know what I normally listen to.. Mostly Classic Rock and dabble in just about everything else (including Celtic Folk and old Country).

Tucked neatly between Gerry Rafferty and Grand Funk Railroad... I have The Go Gos: Beauty and the Beat.

I've also seen Bo Dondaldson & The Heywoods in concert! (Yeah, the guys who sang "Billy Don't Be a Hero). ;~D

I saw this and HAD to respond.

My normal music ranges from the Beatles (194 songs on my mp3), Steely Dan, Katy Perry, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Maroon 5, John Lennon, with some comedy mixed in (mostly Dane Cook).

The one song that goes on my mp3 all the time is "Loco P.D." by Zwarte. It was my aunt's fave.

But my embarrassing song? Hanson. "MmmBop." Fuck 6th grade was a good time in my life.
