Self-deprecation is worth its weight in smoldering phoenix-ashes and baby unicorn tears.
or; let's fix this.

Oh, people are so excited to proclaim that the president has an approval rating of 29%.

(Who am I kidding? I'm in the 71%. I don't approve of how almost anything has been handled by this administration.)

But what people seem to be ignoring is that congress currently has an approval rating of 23-29%, depending on the source.

I was one of the few who had high hopes with the regime change in early 2007. I hoped, maybe we'll be able to finally make a difference now that someone else is in charge!, thoroughly nonplussed by the behavior and track record of the Republican congress of the past fourteen years.

My hopes and dreams have been shattered. It seems that no politician is capable of effecting any meaningful change.

So, friends, neighbors, conseratives, liberals, everyone - the time has come to forget party lines, erase these glaring fights between Democrats and Republicans, and realize that none of them are worth the oxygen they waste.

Let's not vote a single one of these scumbags back. Not ONE. Let's throw the whole lot of them out, like babies with their crap-filled dirty water.

Get rid of them in 2008. Forget your party lines, forget your prejudices, and get EVERY incumbent out.

Surely a crop of brand new people could do no worse than what we've been subjected to from all our branches of government for the last twenty years.

I hate Sean Hannity. I always have, even when I identified more with the Republican party, simply because I find him rude, abrasive, caustic, impatient, and unfriendly. But I was driving in the car with someone else, and Hannity was on, and he was discussing how congress, the administration, and the judges just aren't working.

I agree with mean old Sean.

I don't agree with his methods of solution (as he worships at the feet of the great cult of Reagan), but I do agree that there's a definite problem that needs a fixin'.

According to the most recent Gallup poll Congress is actually down to 14% which is the lowest since they started keeping track. The handling of immigration by both the President and Congress is at a whopping 3%.

Thanks for the updated stats, Greywar. So, are you with me? Let's throw them all out!!!!!!

I certainly can't see very many worth keeping. It is just as unlikely though that replacements would be any different. Just like in Red October:

"I'm a politician and that means I lie and when I'm not kissin' babies I'm stealin their candy."

Not recommended, the Kerry and Gore campaign's both tried the "not Bush" tactic and failed. You have to have more under the hood than simple hatred of the incumbent.

Yes, but he's not running against Bush. Or running at all, as far as I know. So it could work, because Gore and Kerry both ran for president, pretty much shooting themselves in the foot. How can you not be Bush when you're running for President? Bush is just like that!

Anyway, I would vote Gideon MacLeish for any number of reasons, but I can't think of them at the moment. I don't know that I support his party, but he seems like a level-headed kind of guy and has a lot of things in common with my politics. And, since he's not going to get any support from lobbyist groups, he'll not have any favors to pay back when he's in there. So he can cut back on spending!

Oh I don't know... the JU-PAC can be pretty demanding.

Here you go, whip. The inscription on the cookie isn't for you, it's for those people in congress and the administration who are doing nothing but screwing things up for the rest of us . . .

Not hard down here. We have a couple of losers in DC right now.
