Self-deprecation is worth its weight in smoldering phoenix-ashes and baby unicorn tears.
or; the double standard-bearer continues to tirade.

"As for the one Mormon running for office, those that really believe in God will defeat him anyway, so don't worry about that. That's a temporary situation."

Very cute, Reverend Sharpton. Saying that, as a Mormon, Mitt Romney doesn't believe in God, and that God will somehow defeat him.

No, that's not bigoted at all.

Al Sharpton, who has fought so "hard" to defeat bigotry and discrimination - one of the strongest supporters of the ousting of Don Imus for his "racist" comments (never mind that the only reason Don Imus gets hired is to be a "shock-jock", and when he shocks, he gets fired) - is now spewing out his own brand of bigotry and discrimination.

Romney has been a gentleman about it (much better than Sharpton would be under similar circumstances), but has called the comment "terribly misguided".

"It shows that bigotry still exists in some corners," Romney said. "I thought it was a most unfortunate comment to make."

I'm sorry, but Sharpton needs to be taken off the airwaves already. Please.

(Link? How about CNN? Or would you like to see Sharpton's backpedaling on FOX? What a douchebag.)

I agree partially, Sharpton not only defamed Romney {public figure, fair game} but the entire Mormon people, that's 100drds of thousands of private citizens minding their own business and not fair game.

so, theological differences are now politically incorrect?

Not that Sharpton isn't a chump, and not to correct MM, but I think you're mixing up Sharpton's remarks with those of his great friend Jesse Jackson.

You know they all look alike so it is easy to mix them up.

Racism's ending is the last thing Sharpton OR Jackson would ever want. They'd starve. And so would all of the good Rev. Jackson's illegitimate children.
