Self-deprecation is worth its weight in smoldering phoenix-ashes and baby unicorn tears.

Si acaso tú me hablas, cerraré mi corazón
Porque me cansan tus miradas . .

something about sun, love and gondolas?

The line is actually "I can see the sparrows, the dew, and the sun" . . . close though!

Thanks both for at least taking a look. I don't expect a lot of response to this baby, because most of the people here won't understand . . .

I got a bit of it...I'm not exactly a Spanish expert...but I know some...4 years of high school Spanish, I'd better remember something.

Don't speak the language either. I'm going to have to take lessons soon enough though. Glad there's an expert 'on my doorstep'!

You'd better remember a bit, man . . .

Glad there's an expert 'on my doorstep'!

ok, so I copied your text into a translator, and it completely fouled up the poetry, but still I could sense this was a poem of longing, and even through the lousy translation, there was something good in there!
