Self-deprecation is worth its weight in smoldering phoenix-ashes and baby unicorn tears.

This has been coming for a long time.

You could argue this began with the switchover to JU2, but that would put far too much importance on the format and not enough on the message.

You could argue it began with the release of Impulse (a program I actually use on a relatively regular basis, but dammit I'm sick of seeing these retards post ARTICLE AFTER ARTICLE for help with problems that have been answered in EIGHT THOUSAND OTHER THREADS FORTY-FIVE MILLION TIMES OVER), but that would imply laziness (not necessarily inappropriately) on my part for not looking for things to read.

The problem is, most of you suck.  Big time.

The good bloggers are almost all either gone or posting really infrequently.  The mediocre bloggers are posting with regularity, offering me little laughs very rarely as I sift through their pointless offal in an effort to find some nugget of gold.  The bad, stupid, insipid, and inane are practically running things by inundating nearly every thread with their bad, stupid, insipid and inane repetitions of half-truths, twisted and distorted to further their mentally deficient viewpoints.

So I'm joining the mass exodus from JU.  You may occasionally see me commenting (if you're a)one of the lucky few who actually engage me, or b)you're just that stupid and deserve a digital bee-slap for your cretinous, drooling articles).  But I'm making the jump.

There are a few of you I still care about, and I'll still look to see your articles.  And I'll miss you.  But most of you don't write that often anyway these days.

Those of you I know and love, you already know I care.  So I'm not going to make a list.  Maybe I'll PM you and say thanks if I can get around to it.  But most of you aren't worth the price of the clothes you sweat in.

For those of you who do matter, come check out my new blog in the dark ethers of the intarwebs - hopefully it'll be fun.

So bye, guys.  I won't miss JU.  But I do miss what JU used to be.

If I wasn't so lazy I'd be tempted to join you. But it's just so much work to track people who aren't on a site like JU. You have to visit places or set up incredibly elaborate rss feeds - I couldn't be arsed.

I hope you drop by from time to time. It's a shame to keep losing the people I feel like I've come to know over the years.

Of all those here who I thought might stick around, I thought you'd be the one.  Still, I don't blame you for jumping ship, mate.  It is just not the same around here anymore.

I hope you drop by and check out my shit occasionally.  Of course, I have your email address anyway, so you're not going to lose me that easily.

BTW, we have shrunk the number of forums shared between multiple sites.

BTW, we have shrunk the number of forums shared between multiple sites.

And we are extremely grateful.  Some sharing is fun; the level of sharing that was occuring was overwhelming.
