or; I must suck at writing stuff . . .
Published on January 18, 2007 By SanChonino In Misc
Lately I've been having troubles getting my articles read. I've tried to write about a variety of subjects, everything from music, to poetry. I even (knowing the political makeup and leanings of much of the site) decided to write on politics.

All to no avail.

I've must be boring lately, or I must be picking lame subjects, or something else I don't know. Maybe I need to prop up my articles with salacious titles involving bodily functions, or should thinly-veil them as flames.

Oh well. I just suck.

No, SC, it's not that abnormal, actually.

Believe it or not, the majority of my articles get very few readers. I've had many great articles sink because nobody read them. It happens. But like any great slugger, occasionally you hit it out of the park.

Just hang in there; the hits will come.

Hope so. Oh well.

I just haven't been enjoying the popularity I used to have. Oh well. Feeling a bit left out.

It seems to go in cycles. Good titles help, but just keep writing and you'll be read.

Gid's right San,  and also part of it is the time of the year.

Lots of bloggers have had major changes in their lives,  like babies,  Lots of those now from JU families,  new jobs,  some have new relationships,  all kinds of reasons.  Hange in there

It could also be that it is the season when a lot of people spend more time with their families, doing family-orientated things. I've noticed JU has been a bit quiet lately.

Or maybe it is just because you're boring (You know I'm kidding...)

Oh hell no.

You're one of the handfull of blogs I try to keep up with on a regular basis. Now I admit I'm not interested in political blogs or current event stuff of computer blah, blah but I DO read you! So hang in there, SC! You ARE appreciated out here in the world...

Oh, just takes awhile...I had a pretty strong readership after a year. However, I did slack off for quite some time...and I sorta ran out of stuff to say...so my articles are kinda rare. I still get hits from the vets when I post. (Thanks for that, btw)

As long as you keep popping stuff out and it's not some crazy rambling of which we all detest...then you'll gain a good many minions or followers...whichever suit your purposes.

Hang in there, yeah, the repeated mantra! I know it gets busy for some folks, me included. See what time I'm blogging...12:02am and I have to get to sleep soon because of work so....it goes like that sometimes. Just don't stop, ok? OK! Smooches Braeden!

Hey already! I noticed you too!

Work on your titles and i tell you many will stop by.If you have titles like the one you have put here "Boring articles' ,something that makes people want to hear more .The other thing is when you check and don't see any comments on your articles dosen't mean people are not visiting and reading ! Keep writing.

I now know you because of your good title that made me stop by .

I, too, read this blog because of the title. I thought this was going to be about you complaining how no one else was writing articles as good as you were.

I don't get many hits either. Only about 5/article on a good day. I haven't even had much to write about lately.

Why worry about it anyway? Write for you so then you get to enjoy it no matter how many people read it.

Now I will stop proselytizing (and I hope I spelled that correctly because I'm not bothering with spell-check today).

Zzzzzzzz....What? Huh?  Oh, sorry, I dozed off.

Well, you could always spam the forums with a dozen or so stanking, steaming turds each day, making yourself hard to avoid and easy to hate.

In a Movable Feast Hemingway said that he stopped writing when it was him writing not the story writing itself. You'll find your muse eventually.

I really don't consider myself much of a writer. I just write about things on here the same way I would talk to my best friend. Sometimes people respond and other times they don't. When I occassionally get the urge to write an "important" article, it usually gets no response. For some reason, my blatherings inspire more replies than anything else. Also asking for help. People like to help like when you can't figure out what you're doing wrong and all your spaghetti noodles stick together.

Oh and check out www.creativityportal.com Go to the imagination prompt and it will give you journal/blog topics. Something might inspire you. It's actually a great site for all kinds of creative inspiration.

Well, I don't know much about the state of politics in Utah, you know I am too stupid for poetry, and I just haven't had time.

It ain't that I don't love you man!
